Townhouses on Firestone, in Rincon Valley are a great place to live.

School house creekTownhouses on Firestone, in Rincon Valley are a great place to live.  Schoolhouse Creek (aka: Firestone) is a townhouse complex in the heart of Rincon Valley.  There are only 37 units, and most are owner occupied.  It is tucked away next to the Santa Rosa Creek at the corner of Hwy 12 (Sonoma Highway) and Calistoga Road.

It sits under a canopy of large magestic oaks and eucalyptus trees. Built in 1981, they have a few funky features, like radiant heat from the ceiling, and all electric kitchens, but there is a beautiful private pool area, well kept tennis courts, all in a very private intimate setting. firestone

Generally, the units are in the 1500 sq ft range, and all have attached 2 car garages.  Most units have laundry in the garage, but some have a laundry closet inside the home.  There are at least 3 homes that are single detached "stand alone" homes.  There are two  main floor plans, but each unit seems to have some unique variation.  Almost all the units have incredible views that are either of pasture, Annadel State Park, or creek side.  Binging 30 years old, many units have been upgraded in some fashion or another. Schoolhouse Creek is close to the Saint Francis Shopping Center and only a mile and a half to Annadel State Park.  Drive a few miles east and you'll find yourself amoungs world class wineries such as Saint Francis, Landmark, and Kunde.  For more information on Shopping in Rincon Valley, click here: Rincon Valley Shopping Centers

I bought a home at Schoolhouse Creek in the 1990's, and lived there for five years.  I served on the board of directors for the homeowners association.  When my son was born, we sold and moved to a home in another part of Rincon Valley.  When the property values dropped in 2006, I bought a unit as a rental, and have been quite happy with it.

I've been selling these units for the past 6 years, and I speak from experience when I say that only one or two come on the market per year. the homeowners seem to stay a very long time, and are mostly very committed to the development. At the height of the market, one of these units sold for $505,000.  currently they are selling in the low $300,000 range.

Call me if you are interested in one of these units.  I am on the homeowners association board, and know all of the residents.  I keep my finger on the pulse of the market, and have inside knowledge on homeowners who are preparing to sell.
